Wiring Woes...

Of all of the things that could need going over on the Wide Glide, it's the one thing that I hate...wiring. I'd turn wrenches on it all day without even thinking twice about what I'm getting into, but wiring is about as foreign to me as, well, foreign people. It'll fire up with a good kick ritual with no problem if the battery has a charge, but something in the system is draining it and it needs a full charge just to get the damn starter to turn the big bitch over.

Thank God for folks like Jason Hallman though...he's going to draw me a schematic that should make my woes go away.

Terms that I would like to see disappear from people's vocabulary...

Kustom: WTF...you like pinstriping, psychobilly music, and pomade in your hair, so everything is "kustom?" UGH. What was wrong with spelling the word the correct way? Is it too "mainstream?"

Bobber: I know this has been covered, but still...a Sportster in a Flyrite frame is not a frigging "bobber," It's a Sportster in a Flyrite frame.

FTW: Yes, we know you're a hardcore biker...we saw your "I'm Here To Piss People Off" shirt as you rode up on your Factory Authorized CVO Street Glide. If you hate the world so bad, then kill yourself. Spare anyone the agony of more cliche' "biker" shit.

Hero:Some people build some bitchin' bikes. Someone along the lines decided to call one of those folks a "hero." Well that term caught on and before you know it people all over were using it. When I think hero, I think of someone saving someone's life or stopping something bad from happening to a group of folks, not a damn bike builder. Superman=hero...Irish Rich=bad mofo.

...more to come as I think about them.

Enjoy your time...

I was just reading through Church of Choppers and I read the title of Last Ride and I went to my special place.

No matter how cool anyone thinks they are or what they've gained in life, they'll have to come to the conclusion at some point that they're going to take their last ride...the last time they kick their leg or push the start button on the thing that does "it" for them.

I hope that anyone who reads this has a lot more rides before their last one...and that they enjoy every one of them...even the shitty, rainy ones.

Damn the Belgians for making such good beer.

New Shit Wagon...

96" stroker, Andrews gears in the tranny, enclosed belt drive, Earl's stainless lines, and a bunch of ugly shit from the disco era...and it's all mine.

FLH...

I'm going to look at one today, so of course I had to steal some pics for inspiration. I found this one on the JJ. Great bike. Clean, simple, pimpin'.

The BDAC...

I seem to have people stopping by, but only a few people post comments...post up! If you hate it, say it.

Looking For A Bike...

Shovels, Pans, show me what you've got. No Evos or Twinkies though.

A Thousand Knives of Fire...

I can say that I pretty much dig most shit that Small Stone Records puts out. The continuation of stoner metal with a good Southern twist just makes my head bob. That's why I was glad that earlier this year, a couple of the guys from Halfway to Gone got back together to start A Thousand Knives of Fire. Check out their album Last Train to Scornsville if you want to give it a listen.

FXR disappointment...

Went to look at an '82 today. Drove over an hour across town in rush hour traffic. Thought I had something special based on the pics and description. I get there and it's nothing more than disappointment. Garbage makeshift forward controls (who does that to an FXR), funky title numbers, beat ass frame, and a terrible running motor with oil leaking straight from the cases. I might as well have spent my afternoon punching myself in the ear, let alone the $25 in gas to get there.

Rockabilly Jay's Panhead...

I stole this pic from somewhere. Badass Pan with a lot of detail:

Mastodon Friday...

Go put on your copy of Crack The Skye. Mastodon is coming home tonight to play at Center Stage and Mikey and I are going to drink beer and listen to them play the whole album through.

Nevermind...

The Night Train will be making its way to Gatlinburg this weekend to meet it's new owner.

Time to find another bike...gotta choose which one though.

What do you assholes think?

Panhead w/sidehack...

What I've gotta build before Jakey starts school. Nothing says cool like showing up in a sidecar on your dad's Panhead.

More '82 FXRs...

Must've been on vacation...

Because two weeks ago today, The BDAC has been providing shitty posts and daily entertainment for me for a year. How bout them apples?

I think I need to come up with some stickers or something. Would anyone wanna show support?

Sugar Bear...

Turn signals? BAH!

Nothing much to do with anything II...

I was showing my stepmom the capabilities of the macro lens. This torture device looking thing is actually a stand up wine bottle opener:

Blood Mountain...

Jake didn't know what to think about riding up Blood Mountain, but as you can see in the pic of the twisties, it's a fun ass ride on a bike.

Cleveland, GA...

On the way up to my dad's a couple of weeks ago, we stopped at Zaxby's for lunch. When I walked out, this was sitting across from my bike in the parking lot:

Another FXR...

Now, if I could get my Harley sold, I could grab the one I found in Florida and finish the CFL.

Sorry...

I've been vacationing a lot the past couple of weeks, so my posts are slacking.
