Was the 2 year anniversary of The BDAC. I can't believe I've been doing this for this long. I talked with Mike D from Cheap Thrills about doing some t-shirts, but I need good art and as I can draw, I can't do the whole computer art thing. Josh Brown from Standard Cycles sent me this the other day. He's good with computing, so I asked him a while back to come up with something. He said he didn't like my Ford logo, but I have to disagree. I like mine betta.

Picture theft Friday...

Good looker. Lots of neat details.

Interested in a belt drive for a cone motor/Softail trans setup?

Awesome setup to run a 1.5" belt, Primo clutch and a kick only setup on a Softail style trans. The plates cover the ugly webbing on the back of the trans and allow you mount the oil filter where the starter normally goes, allowing you leave the ear alone without it being an eye sore. Irish Rich made the plates and such for me. The primary and bearing support are all brand new. ROCK BOTTOM price at $650 shipped or will trade for other crap...just email me with what you've got.

What Fits What...

Great book. Find it, buy it, learn more.

Stock?

Is this a stock or accessory filter mount? I've never seen one before.

Waste of a '59 Pan...

This is sitting in the Harley store in New York New York. There is another Pan and a U Flatty too. Perfect shape. I told a guy who was looking at it that it was being wasted and needed to be a daily rider. He looked at me like I had a dick drawn on my forehead. I'm sure he was thinking, "I wouldn't ride that shit. My Ultra Classic is much more comfortable."

I'm out...

Off to the Sin City. I'll post some from the road.

With the Shovel nearing completion...

I have to start thinking about the next one. I've already started talking to a dude named "Boston" about a frame. I think I'm going to keep it as much HD as possible, regardless of era.

Here are the beginnings of some new shoes:

Fender...done...

Thank God for Mike's unbelievable fabrication talent. I've learned a ton from him in this process and I've made a good friend a better one. I come up with something in my head, draw it on a notepad, he tells me how it will work better and not crumble to shit after a few hundred miles and it comes to fruition. With two more small things to do, Eric will start painting once he gets back from L.A. We're in the home stretch, folks.

Over the weekend...

My buddy who has never ridden before brought over a bike he adopted. A 1972 s2 350 Kawasaki triple. It has 6700 original miles and has been in a shed since about '74. We're going to see what we can pull out of it.

A bunch for sale...

On the JJ. Email me with any offers or PM on that site.

Here it be, yo!

My A.D.D. kicked in...

And I started working on stuff for the next bike too.

Got a good bit done...

But it was pretty boring stuff that doesn't necessitate picture taking. I did get the jockey lever bent up to clear the oil tank and starter solenoid and I got the exhaust mocked up (I forget a bracket for the oil tank at the house, so it's all crooked). The exhaust looks a little low, but it's not all of the way cinched up because I didn't bring the stuff for the front interference joint.

Peter Steele Dead...

Heart failure at 48...wow, that's too young. Even if you didn't like Type O Negative, you know if you ever listened to metal that you sing along when Black No.1 comes on.

High On Fire...

Another pic from Eric's IPhone.

High On Fire...

Eric and I saw them at the Masquerade last night. They played Hell...Bone Thugs N Harmony played Heaven. Quite a mixed crowd in the parking lot.

The only scan I could get...

But here's Part 1 of the series on the Shovel in this month's The Horse.

20100413

Thar she blows...

Good interior, could use paint...maybe, trim is there, runs like a top, HEI, 9" rear with 3.55 Richmonds and a spool, factory power steering and power disc brakes (front), all glass is good, lights work, C6 auto with a 351W.

A little horse tradin'...

And I have a truck. Jake likes it.

So much closer...

The sheet metal is almost ready for paint, the little doodads are getting put back on, a couple of more things to fabricate, the motor is all buttoned up and I have to make some adjustments where the shifter is making contact with the starter solenoid (I kinda knew that would happen). It's getting there though and I can see the end.

Stolt Pic Friday...

Badass.

The one disadvantage...

Of having kids; They drag home every illness imaginable. I've had the gut rot for three days now.

I Need A VACATION!!!

Thank God we're heading to Vegas in a couple of weeks. Ugh.

20100405

Just to put this out there...

I'd be willing to trade the Sportster for a good, old truck...or whatever else cool you may have. I'd prefer a long bed, V8 F100 or C10 over all. No F100s after 1980 though.

Since I think the Sportster is only a temporary ride (even though I grin like a pig in shit when I'm riding it), I'd be fine with letting it go if the offer was right. I've kinda gotten into this whole swapping thing. Email me if you're interested.

Speedster Gas Cap...

Brand new, still in the box, Crime Scene Choppers Speedster gas cap with weld in bung. $175 shipped via Paypal. Email me if you're interested. These are $264 new from CSC.

Got the itch again...

Since the CFL sold, I've been looking at other stuff too. I found a 1980 GMC with a 454. This isn't it, but it's a '77 Chevy looker. Thinking about trading the Sporty for it.

Happy Good Friday...

I got to work today and these were in the kitchen. I mowed one down in 2.2.

Tanks are finished II...

Mike thought that since the stock mounts are prone to failure on fat bobs that we should double them up. I didn't argue.
