For Shitfalcon

A couple of weeks back John asked me to do a logo for him. He had specific ideas in mind, but after a couple of sketches that changed. This is what finally came of beating a few ideas around.

Timebomb Tuesday...

So if you know me this normally what is playing at my house, in my car, or in the garage. I have seen these cats numerous times and it never gets old. Ben is the type dude who will sit with you and drink jameson on the rocks while the opening band is playing. I get to see them next weekend in San Luis Obsipo. Can't wait. Cheers!

Rebuild some brakes...

If you read about them last week, I said that I got these radial mount Tokicos off of ebay for 26 dollars shipped. The radial mounts are almost identical to the popular Fab Kevin style Tokicos accept for the mounting style. I figured I'd try something different and for the price I paid, I could afford it. First off though, wanted to break them down and rebuild them which is just cheap security. I'm also going to blast them and repaint them since they had a little rash on them...everything's a project here.

Sunday Night Carb Rebuild...

Soda blasting gave it a really cool finish and cleaned it up like brand new. Seth added a rebuild kit to his S&S order for me last week, so I decided to go ahead and put it together last night. We went to the shoe show Saturday night so I wasn't exactly feeling up to doing much yesterday. I got this done though and that was on my todo list. My transmission will be back tomorrow, so I'll start putting the bike back together and finish the couple of changes that are left. Overtime at work (20 hours last week) and other things have stopped me from doing everything I need to do, but I've been making steps. I got the wheels all sorted for Shovel #2 and I'm taking them to the powder coater, so now on to chopping the frame and making the bitch a roller.

I'm not some big cyclist or anything, but I do love making something from nothing. This video is a great look into fabrication.

Port-O-Potty doors...

So I don't think I have posted this yet. At the smokeout this year it was hot as fuck and we got wasted the whole time. This followed us meeting some guys from Jasper GA just west of us. Ripped off a port-o-potty door Tie a rope to it and attach to a sissy bar. Later in the day in turned bad and the ambulance was called. Enjoy

Damn, i feel old!

Hijacked this one from the C.C. Danny Way and Mike Vallely look like they're about eleventeen. I wanna know where the hell Mike McGill, Tommy Guerrero, & Tony Hawk are!

Badass...NOS XR1000 wheels.

More stupid Shovelhead pics...

They're still growing on me. I felt pretty strongly about keeping the flashy FLH shocks on this bike from the point I decided to build (rebuild) it. I thought the combination of everything I had going on worked just right, but I've grown to think it just wasn't enough. I wanted to try these Works Performance shocks because of how highly they were touted and I was hoping to change the look a little before it warmed up. My original intentions were to make this bike a combination of new performance mixed with classic styling, but I think along the way a little too much classic styling made it get lost in the mix of standard swingarm bikes. I'm hoping to make myself happier with a couple of little changes and this is the first of them.

They're definitely smaller and they skinnied the old goat up.

20110119

World's nicest...

And smallest shocks. Works Performance Steel Trackers custom made for me in 11" length. They only weigh 4 lbs. each!!!

I know plenty of people do it, but...

I'm kinda getting into this helmet painting thing...

20110118

Radial mount Tokicos...

26 bucks shipped on eBay...hell yes.

The plan is to take them apart, soda blast the outside and remove the rash, repaint, rebuild and bolt on to the rear of Shovel #2. Dual Tokico 4 piston calipers on the rear and a mini-drum on the front? Yeah, that makes perfect sense.

Timebomb Tuesday...

It is super hard to deny Jimi blasting some blues! Cheers!

Polish the helmet...

I finished my helmet project. A little striping around the edge to match the colors on the back and it gave it a real 70's bowling alley look.

20110117

Mandroid...

There was talk of the old Kettenkrad German tank bikes on the JJ and someone posted this picture...I immediately laughed to myself and thought of the 1986 B-movie Eliminators in which a cyborg named Mandroid could attach different pieces to his body, one of which was a tank track lower half.

I am so stupid.

Ride For ShitFalcon...

So ol' Jon Dills calls me last night we get to chewing the fat. He said he wanted to go to jail so we could hold a ride in his name. I told him we would ride around the jail so he could look out the window and tell all the hard core dudes in the Pen that all that was for him. ShitFalcon this is for you.

More parts...

Scored these from Chico D for Shovel #2. I'll make a new, shorter bracket to tighten it all up and redo the lights to look BEACHIN'.

Cancer Sucks...

Take some time read the story at the link below. Brandon Bond is a tattoo artist here in Atlanta, a damn good one if I must say. He is a little strange to say the least, but a good person all in all. He is involved heavily in Pit Bull rescue here in town. This past week he said good bye to the best friend a man could have, his PIT BULL. Raise a toast to Cain. Cheers!

In My Time of Dying...

Slow week...

With the cold conditions, being snowed in a bit and everything else, my motorcycle work has been limited to painting that helmet and NOTHING else. Since that's the case, I'll bring back an old tradition and give you a Stolen Pic Friday...

I can't remember where I got this, but I think it's a neat looking bike.
