No one can cover them...

Chris wrote something on the Trouble blog about how no one can properly do Layne Staley justice when covering an Alice In Chains song, and while I agree, I think this applies to a few bands. In particular, no one can fucks with Pantera. Between The Buried And Me tried, Whitechapel just tried, hell even that week faux-metal band Avenged Sevenfold tried...all futile efforts. You aren't and never will be able to compare to Dime.

Unto The Locust...

It never fails...Machine Head just makes good music, and they didn't fail on this one either. Unto The Locust is badass...just pure, driving, raucous metal. The single for Locust had been playing around for a while, so I knew kinda what to expect, but that, to me, isn't even the best song. With songs like I Am Hell & This Is The End, they seemed to expand, but still went back to their classic sound with Pearls Before Swine.

Tuesday...

Every Tuesday I sift through the pile of new releases in the Metal section of iTunes. Most of the time there is crap that's inaudible, but sometimes you find that gem. Well this week, Scott Wino's project called Premonition 13 came out with their album, 13, and with most of Wino's work it's raw as hell and has incredible fuzz-laden guitar work that just melts your face. Wanna get some new music? Get this shit.

A new August Burns Red album came out today as well...I like August Burns Red, so I'll give it a listen too.

I promise to start posting motorcycle shit on this blog again soon as well. We're busy as hell right now trying to get setup in the shop and with everyday life, so things will begin to bubble to the top soon.

Cool Decks...

So I haven't posted shit lately due to the fact if I am not working I am working. Me and J-Rod went and seen the Sword and I have a thing for cool decks. So I bought this one too and the dude running the merch stand got it signed for us. Fits well next to the one Shane did for the Dixie Round up.

Oldie, but goodie...

The live version is good, but for some reason I like the studio version of this song better. The vocals are just rotten on this song. If you don't like this shit, then I have no use for you.

Amon Amarth...

I've never been a System of a Down fan, but I thought this song was halfway decent...this version by Amon Amarth is MUCH better though. Brutality and down-tuned sludge at its best.
