Who doesn't like Waffle House? There's one every two blocks in the Southeast. Here is a picture of the first Waffle House ever opened on Labor Day of 1955 in Decatur (metro Atlanta neighborhood). It was refurbished to it's original state in 2008 and became the Waffle House museum. By the way, check the bottom of the sign and see if you can pick up on the other popular Georgia-based restaurant's name.
Man times have changed. Here's a picture of Peachtree Street (One of the main drags that runs from one side of downtown Atlanta all the north through Buckhead and out of the city) in 1907:
