I bought this a while back with the intention of cutting it up, but I decided I just couldn't do that. It has the stamping still clear as day and no dents. $125 will ship it to your door. Holla atcha boy.
Air cleaner popped on. It runs pretty damn good. I opted for that choke from Wimmer because it had 3 settings and most either run wide ass open or closed. That knob is retarded big though. I should put it on a lathe and turn it down.
A little One Shot, a soda blaster, and a little love...
Oh yeah, the top isn't white, but the outline and letters of the logo are. The top is actually the same as the backing plate, which is blasted plain silver.
After filing and sanding, filing and sanding I finally got one finished last night. I soda blasted it to take out any more marks. Now on to the other one.
Like I'm spending way too much time on this, but look at the difference between the one that I haven't really started yet and the one that I'm almost done with. I'm doing this all by hand with files, emery cloth and sandpaper as well. I'll be finished with the left one tonight and get cracking on the right one immediately. I haven't been posting much, but I've been working on a few things and am changing pace on the next Shovel build once again. I got a fire under my ass now and It's gonna turn out badass. I had to dig into the parts stash and sell a few things to fund it though (kids be spensive).
Trying to move stuff out, but some stuff gets moved in. I scored this Super Glide tank on eBay for a song. It has a couple of dents that can be PDR'd out, but the paint is halfway decent in a person and with a good buff it could be a cool tank.
A real deal tombstone tail light. Real Harley glass and all. Show me what you've got.
I'd also like to find a set of shouldered rims...just the hoops. A 19x2.15 and an 18x3. I don't care if they're stock, Akront, Borrani, as long as they're 40 hole and in good shape.
I popped on a narrow glide (39mm...for thinking purposes) that I have sitting around last night and put in the left engine case just to get a visual. I'm letting my mind wander a little bit on this one...
If you've ever wondered about throwing a set of Sportster shocks on a Shovelhead or running a set of Dyna shocks on a Sportster then you should look at this first. I remember reading this before ordering my Works and thinking, "Holy shit, that would suck to run Sportster shocks on my swingarm."
These are just spring rates, so the math isn't anything over the top.
Made by Primo...anyone ever use one? I thought I'd give it a try, but upon reading the instructions I've learned that you're not supposed to run it "uncovered."
Since the mag was a no go, I put the bike back together. I painted the belt, whited out the pipes and put on the Works shocks. I've been way too busy to finish the bars, so that's next and we have a new air cleaner in the works that will be titties.
