Hurry up Cables...
So me and the boys threw the motor in the dyna this weekend. I finished most everything yesterday, just waiting on throttle cables and a Throttle collar. Got a bad itch that needs scratching. Nine weeks is way to long. but hopefully this thing runs like a MOFO. Shakedown this weekend and the next and to work everyday in between. Should be ready for RFL. Can't wait!
3.5 Gallon left side tank...
Looking for one...anyone have a decent one they want to part with? I don't want anything that's been fuggered, brazed to death or beaten senseless.

Metal Swim...
The folks at Adult Swim on Cartoon Network have so much fun with Dethklok, Metalocalypse, Mastodon's spot on the ATHF movie soundtrack and other metal wonderment, that they decided to make an album called Metal Swim available for free download on their website. Bands include some of my favorites like Isis and Pelican, as well as acts like Zoroaster and Kylesa. You can download it by clicking on ADULT SWIM METAL ALBUM.

Timebomb Tuesday...
I had another song in mind, but on the way home from work the ole IPod decided to play this. If you don't like Lucero there is something wrong with you and you might wanna have your head evaluated. Cheers!
Lil Joe's...
With the Ride For Lightning coming up I decided that I wanted something to keep my torso warm without having to worry about wearing a leather or textile jacket. If you haven't seen the weather, there's a bit of a heat wave down south and it was 93 degrees here yesterday. There's no telling how long that'll last, so in preparation I thought I'd just go ahead and order one of these Lil Joe's Black Magic Denim vests. I would of ordered a leather one, but this is a little cheaper, less dense and less Sons of Anarchy looking. Who knows, I may still get a leather one later, but I'll see how I do with this one first.

Motor is finally done...
This is not my Dyno sheet. My motor has all of these goodies, and maybe a little more cause compression. This is top of the line dyno run, but if mine makes close to this should be pretty awesome. Hoping it doesn't start breaking shit in the trans or belts. Remember this is in a stripped down 2003 superglide. Ain't no ride like a superglide.
More seat pics...
Here's what Christian sent me. He had to do the funky bottom cuts since I welded the mount solid to the pan. I also got him to do a SUBTLE BDAC logo on the back/bottom of the pan. I like crazy tooling, but I wanted this one to be somewhat simple like the rest of the bike. I've always liked the top-stitched look and I wanted it to be extra comfortable since it's a regular rider, not a show piece.

Done...and badass.
Crazy Christian sent me pics of the finished product. I'm stoked to get it back.

S2 350 Rebuild update...
Because of everything else, this kinda got the backburner. I finally went back to it and decided I would "bob" the frame for more of a racer look...here is the beginning of that. I'll relocate the shock mounts inboard just a hair, cut a large section out of the frame, add some supports and make it good for a nice, low slung seat.

I can't believe we've been doing this shit this long.
If anyone remembers, a few years back Hank Young was selling oil tanks like this. They were actually made by Mike and Zack Saligoe (as were several of Hank's creations). This was chilling on Zack's welding table and he has since moved to Vegas. Last time I was there I grabbed it and told Mike that we were going to test fit it and possibly modify it for the next Shovel build. Well, it fits nice, so I guess with a few changes this will be the new oil tank for #2.

New toy...
So my Garage has it late night perks. A beer fridge, Go Kart with no brakes, and now I have added this little jewel. It hasn't ran in like two years or so the guy said. I am soaking the carb in some parts cleaner as we speak. The gas tank smelled like a Tijuana port-a-potty. I look forward to the late nights on this beast.
Dock Ellis...
Wanna hear some crazy shit? Read about Dock Ellis' 1970 No-hitter (the only in his career) in which he has said that he was tripping his ass off the whole game...
Here is the Wikipedia article on Dock. He was apparently a character. He even spent 4 innings of one game attempting to hit every player on the opposing team to "prove a point."

The Horse #102...
If someone has a scanner and can email me a copy of "Buford Shovel Pt. 3" from this month's issue of The Horse, I would appreciate it. For some reason the people that live everywhere around me has the issue at the beginning to end of the week before it hits the newstands, but yet my issue still hasn't gotten here. Way to go subscription service. It would be nice to read my own fucking article.
