I don't know why, but...

Something about the term "Pan/Shovel" gets under my skin. I could understand a little more if it were a '48-'65 bottom end with Shovel heads on it, but for someone to use the same term about '66-'69 motors blows my mind. Yes, it has generator cases, but it still came from the factory as a Shovelhead...not a Panhead. And Pans weren't the only motors to come in genny cases either.

I agree 100%. I don't really mind though, It makes it easier to get an old timer to come off of a generator shovel when they think it is just some mutant motor.
