Whachoo know bout stoppin' dem bikes?
Me, Seth and Eric went out to Mike Saligoe's shop since I don't have some of the more heavy tools at my house. Mike started Atlanta Monster Cycles with his son Zack a few years ago and has had a couple of bikes featured, but Zack has since moved away and Mike now does any kind of metal work for anyone around Atlanta when it's something outside of their ability. This guy knows metal better than anyone I know and learned it by building Indy and Sprint cars for years in Indiana. He'll tell you stories all day long about hand hammered .030" chromoly sheet metal to make Indy bodies and how things went wrong after the teams stopped making their own cars. If you need any bracket or anything made at all...he can do it.
We started off by milling a little off of a bracket that we found to work with the Hella 500 headlight that I wanted to run.
Then we went on to cutting out the caps so the new caps and bungs, as well as the new mounting tab can go on.
I had to catch one of those moments where Mike was telling a story. He'll keep any motornerd entertained for hours. He also works for Advanced Armament during the week welding up silencer bodies...pretty cool gig, huh?

Where's this magical place exactly?
In Winder. No cool old building or sacred stomping ground, just a 2000 sq/ft garage unit full of years tools, machines, and car/motorcycle parts.
